We've had reassuring responses from Slideshare about the recent problem with a malicious slide deck and the company's timely removal of the malicious account. You can find these in the comments to the previous blogs on the subject, but as many people who saw the original blog won't necessarily go back to check on comments, I thought I'd follow up here.
It's very positive to note that the company is quick to respond to a problem, and at executive level. I also like the fact that its "About" page includes lots of contact information. When we see so many sites that seem to go out of their way to make it difficult to contact them in the event of a problem, it's great to see a site that's taking the security of its audience seriously, and actively encouraging its users and others to email them if there's a problem.
